Usually October is one of the most beautiful months here in Ukraine, but unfortunately we have had almost nothing but rain and and an overcast sky since the end of August. We have not even had a “Babushka Summer.” I think the trees are trying to make up for the lack of sun as they are incredibly beautiful this year and bursting with color at the same time.
Fall in Kyiv means being very busy. It feels like there is a burst of energy in everyone and everything so that as much gets done as possible before the cold months when the ice and snow slows life down.
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed. Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him!” – Lamentations 3:22-24
