People always ask me how I got started ministering in Ukraine and the answer is, “Operation Christmas Child.” I was first introduced to international missions through my volunteer work for this ministry and I then came here on a trip here to pass out shoe box gifts to children in orphanages all over Western Ukraine. That trip made me want to come back and not just to visit but to stay.
This week is national shoebox collection week. If you haven’t packed a shoebox, you still have time! It’s a great way to get involved with ministering to children all over the world.
The boxes our ministry received last year were the only gifts we were able to give to our children to celebrate Christmas. These boxes bless not only the children, but the parents, families and community.
