To celebrate the anniversary of the Orange Revolution, someone posted this video on my Facebook page. It’s kind of like an easy “Flashback Friday” post.
I was here in Ukraine during the Orange Revolution. It was quite an experience.
Interestingly enough today, on the anniversary of the beginning of the Orange Revolution, Ukrainians who would like Ukraine to join the European Union are gathering on Maidan and protesting the Ukrainian government’s decision to stop preparing an agreement to join the European Union.
We’ll know over the next couple of days how serious this will become.
I’m not trying to make a political statement with this video, I just really love this song called, “Don’t Be Afraid Of Life,” by one of my favorite Ukrainian musicians, Maria Burmaka. The video brings back a lot of amazing memories for me.
